I’m Marcus. I live in Dundee, Scotland, where I craft fun and memorable games.
Games have always been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of watching my dad play combat flight simulator, and the nostalgia still lingers today. I often reminisce about the carefree days of my childhood, which I can easily recall by thinking about the games I played.
As I grew older, I began to play more iconic games that still hold a special place in my heart. The anticipation of opening a newly purchased game and installing it on my parents' PC was an experience in itself. It was this passion for gaming that led me to pursue a degree in game design and production management, where I discovered the potential to transfer my creative abilities into making interactive experiences that bring joy, curiosity, exploration, and lasting memories.
After completing my degree at Abertay, I founded an indie game company with two friends, with the aim of capturing Scotland's charm and beauty within a captivating narrative adventure game. Our mission was to create a fun game that promoted Scotland and to create opportunities for others in the agricultural part of the borders. We worked tirelessly, and while the business ultimately didn't pan out, it was a great experience that taught me a lot.
In my free time, I enjoy playing games and working on my VW Campervan. When the weather allows, I like to do Munro bagging trips with friends, plan road trips, and organise camping. I believe that life is all about creating experiences and memories and leaving one's mark in the world.
I am excited about the future and am dedicated to creating experiences that will inspire joy and fond memories in players for years to come. My goal is to become part of a fantastic game studio where I help develop games that will become a part of someone else's cherished memories.
